An optical practice in Chiswick played host to the designer of The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover to mark Small Business Saturday last weekend.
The Eye Studio welcomed artist Sir Peter Blake (pictured right), who created a Sgt Pepper-style High Street Heroes collage for the initiative this year featuring Primrose Hill optometrist Adam Simmonds.
Andrew Harman (left), joint-owner of the Eye Studio, also invited MP for Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth, Osterley and Hounslow Mary Macleod (centre).
‘This was a great opportunity for us, we got together with every independent local businesses in a smallish area and we were able to cobble together the kind of marketing and awareness that is usually the preserve of the big boys,’ Harman said. ‘We were honoured on the day by the attendance of Sir Peter.’
