Luxottica has launched a world-first retail concept store in Australia's fashion capital Melbourne with the OPSM eye hub, a 1,500sq m store described by the company as the future of retailing.
The eye hub has been designed by international award-winning architects E2, who were behind London's Millennium Dome design, and has a store concept with a floor plan in the shape of an eye that Luxottica described as putting the customer at the centre of the store experience. Over 2,000 optical and sunglass designs, priced to suit a wide range of customers, are on show and customers can see how they look via touch screen interactive mirrors with playback video.
