Thélios takes minority stake in Mykita

Mykita founder, Moritz Krueger

Eyewear entity of LMVH Group, Thélios, has agreed a minority investment in Berlin-based eyewear brand Mykita, which was subject to regulatory approvals.

Moritz Krueger, founder of Mykita, told Optician: ‘We’re proud to have the trust and support of Thélios whose belief in our values and vision for the future is a true endorsement of the path that we continue to carve for ourselves.’

Kreuger and Mykita's partner, Bernd Beetz, retained the majority stake in the company and it would continue to operate with full independence in every aspect of its strategy, operations and creative process.

Mykita did not disclose the size of the investment but said it would strengthen its position as a global design and manufacturing house.
