Thomson Screening webinar supports students with sight loss

A recent webinar organised by Mark Allen Group and supported by Thomson Screening aimed to identify and support pupils with mild to moderate hearing and/or sight loss.

Of the 510 primary and secondary school senior leader attendees, 92% agreed that supporting students with mild to moderate vision and hearing loss was important for removing academic barriers.

Only 7% rated their understanding of visual and hearing impairment in children as ‘very good’ or ‘good’ (24%) while almost half of respondents said their understanding was ‘fair’.

The webinar formed part of school inclusion and welfare programmes and included an extensive question and answer session with Thomson Screening’s senior leadership.
