Former chief executive of the Association of Optometrists Bob Hughes will be replaced on the LOCSU board by Richard Carswell, now acting chief executive of the AOP.

Carroll's position arose from the change in the role of Alan Tinger, who was the previous FODO representative but has since moved to become LOCSU's part-time executive chairman.
