Three members join ABDO National Clinical Committee

The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) has confirmed three new members to its ABDO National Clinical Committee (NCC).

Joining will be Ruth Shelton, a regional sub lead for her local optical committee, Tony Harvey, Boots’ franchise partnership manager and a member of the GOC Registration Committee, and Tony Douglass, a Specsavers dispensing optician training manager and an ABDO probationer examiner.

Barry Duncan, deputy chief executive, said: ‘Each of them brings a wealth of experience and knowledge having worked in different areas within the optical profession. They will raise the profile of the NCC and compliment the skills and expertise of the members currently involved. I am confident their clinical and practical knowledge will further advance the committee activity in the coming months.’
