Transitions adds new tints to its photochromic lens portfolio

In 2014, Transitions Optical added the graphite green colour to its photochromic lens portfolio to broaden the appeal to younger, more fashion-focused patients.

With the new Style Colours collection, four stylish tints have been added — amethyst, sapphire, emerald and amber, which join the existing range of grey, brown and graphite green. The new collection adapts from clear to tinted when exposed to UV light.

A spokesperson for Transitions Optical said: ‘As well as offering a unique way for patients to express themselves, the launch aims to bring the lenses to a younger consumer. Style Colours introduces a contemporary element to purchasing prescription eyewear; colours can be selected to either match or complement the chosen frame in line with each patient’s individual style.’
