Transitions forecasts five optical trends

Telehealth and community involvement were highlighted as key trends among optical practices for 2023 in a new report by Transitions Optical. 

It identified five post-pandemic trends, including: a need for a personalised, cost-conscious patient experience; addressing employee engagement and satisfaction; making a difference locally through charitable acts and increased involvement in community activities; offering both sustainable products and a sustainable shopping experience; and having an online and in-practice approach. 

Rose Harris, Transitions’ senior director of marketing in North America, said the report was intended to ‘shed light on the changes eye care professionals can embrace to help gain a competitive advantage in the future.’
