Transitions signs technology deal with Thai Optical Group

Transitions Optical and Thai Optical Group have done a deal to allow TOG to offer a wide range of variable tint lenses to its customers.

A partnership agreement was signed in the Far East on June 8 which will allow TOG to offer Transitions lenses in 1.5, 1.60 and 1.67 index materials. The group will also offer  Transitions in the high impact Trivex material.

Paul Peiffer managing director of Transitions in the Asia Pacific region said the combination of Transition Optical’s Ultra Violet protection technology and Thai Optical’s distribution more wearers would  benefit from enhanced visual quality.

‘With Transitions Optical’s advanced photochromic lens technology and Thai Optical’s expert lens manufacturing and wide distribution, we are confident that the photochromic lens market will expand even more with this partnership,’ he added.
