US brand Remdottica goes for subtle style

New from Remdottica are the winter ophthalmic and sun collections from US fashion designer John Varvatos.

The designer said the new collection had amplified its design concept for informal, yet stylish spectacles and sunglasses, with new materials and styling touches. Four lines make up the collection – Soho, Artisan, Classic and Bowery.

The Classic collection’s V366 ophthalmic frame sports a new grey tortoiseshell colorway and a bold, square silhouette.

A keyhole bridge adds vintage appeal, while the metal plaque on the outside of the spring hinge sports a modern- looking logo.

Sunglass style V510 from the Bowery line offers a timeless aviator shape, crafted from rich acetate. Inspired by rock’n’roll, the Bowery collection features guitar-stock hinge decoration on the temples, which sink into the frame’s front when the temples are closed.
