ValliA team from Valli Opticians took part in a 10 mile charity walk to raise money for leukaemia and lymphoma research charity Bloodwise.

Last weekend around 100 walkers stopped by Valli’s four Huddersfield practices in Meltham, Honley, Almondbury and Lockwood, culminating with a traditional Yorkshire tea party and music from Yorkshire Traction Honley Brass Band.

The ‘Valli Rally’ has been established in honour of Kamal Aftab, a former optometrist at Valli who died two months after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.

‘The Valli Rally is one of the ways we like to give back to the community. The dedication and commitment shown by Kamal to local causes was an inspiration to everyone,’ said Valli owner Moin Valli (pictured right with members of the Aftab family).
