VAO backedby Radio 4

Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) is asking its supporters to 'spread the word' about an appeal on its behalf by VAO honorary vice president, Fiona Bruce on Radio 4 on May 9 at 7.55am.

Bruce's appeal will also be repeated that evening at 9.26pm and then on May 13 at 3.27pm. VAO hopes that the Radio 4 appeal, with an average weekly listenership of 1.9 million, will help it reach a new audience. Bruce has worked on a number of projects to help publicise and promote VAO's work. In 2005 she fronted a BBC Lifeline Appeal for the charity which helped to raise £19,000.
