VAO conference

Delegates from the UK, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Zambia recently attended Vision Aid Overseas’ inaugural programme conference.

The event, at the Effingham Park Hotel in Copthorne West Sussex, brought together the charity’s international programme team, along with chief executive Natalie Briggs and members of the development and finance teams.

The conference was arranged by international programme director Nigel Wilson to educate the charity’s staff on the international work it carries out and to forge relationships with people working on similar programmes in different parts of the world.

On the event, Wilson said: ‘Vision Aid Overseas has a complicated programme of work and sharing experience, knowledge and expertise is always extremely helpful. Now the hard work of building on this experience must begin.’
