
Vision Aid Overseas has launched its Go For Glasses campaign, which challenged patients and optical practices to get active and raise £10,000 by September 6.
The charity said participants could challenge themselves to complete a physical task, such as a run, cycle or swim over a selected distance within a specified timeframe and seek donations.
Fundraiser Peter lives with a visual impairment and has set himself a million step challenge. He said: ‘Children in developing countries born with the same visual Impairment as me, are not so fortunate. I want to do something to help them have the same chance I had.’
