Vision Express has announced a review of managing staffing structures. The company released a statement to Optician confirming the changes but revealed no further details.
Neil McGowan, retail operations director for Vision Express, said structures within some company-operated stores were being reviewed and adapted 'to ensure they continue to best meet with customer demands'.
'Our people are and continue to be our most important asset,' McGowan added. 'And we will make every effort to retain every employee affected and hope that they will continue to develop their careers at Vision Express and where appropriate learn new skills to enhance the customer experience.'
A spokesperson for Vision Express would not go into any further detail on exactly how structures were being adapted, adding: 'We want to communicate with people in the right way.'
McGowan also said in the earlier statement: 'We listen to customers' ever-changing needs and react to them quickly and effectively. This includes continually reviewing what each of our stores offers and refreshing that where appropriate.'
