Vision Direct portfolio expanded

Online frame retailer Lensway.co.uk has been incorporated into Internet contact lens supplier Vision Direct.

Vision Direct said the move served to ‘strengthen the company’s position as the UK’s foremost online contact lens retailer’. It follows the addition of sunglasses and prescription glasses to Vision Direct’s product portfolio in the second half of 2016. Both Vision Direct and Lensway are owned by Essilor.

A company spokesperson said: ‘Vision Direct is continuing to grow, having extended its high quality range to include glasses and sunglasses last year.

‘Lensway’s move to Vision Direct presents an exciting opportunity to introduce these products and the companies exemplary service to an even wider customer base.’
