Vision Express gains Hope

Vision Express has appointed Simon Hope as its new chief financial officer.

Previously finance director of accessories retailer Claire's in the UK, Hope will take up the new role from July 9.

The company said he was instrumental in the expansion of Claire's European division which has over 1,100 stores in 13 countries.

Hope said: 'I am delighted to be joining Vision Express, a successful and profitable business with a significant share of the UK optical goods market, and part of the GrandVision, Europe's largest optical retailing group. I look forward to joining the management team to further build on the current reputation for customer service and to accelerate growth in sales and profitability.'
