VivaQuity and Ebiga Vision launch new floater study

Eye supplement distributor VivaQuity announced the launch of a new study at the South East Technological University (SETU) to investigate targeted micronutrition for vitreous health and vision-related quality of life.

The SETU floater intervention study would be conducted by the Nutrition Research Centre Ireland (NRCI), School of Health Science, building upon the previous Floater Intervention study (FLIES) published in 2021.

The original FLIES study was the first double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical supplementation trial in 61 patients with primary floaters, demonstrating a 77% success rate in reduction of floaters.

Improvements in visual function were also noted among 67% of the active group, following a six month targeted dietary intervention with the VitroCap food supplement, produced by Ebiga Vision.
