VTI shares presbyopia contact lens study results

VTI shared results of a study that analysed the visual performance of its NaturalVue Enhanced Multifocal 1 Day on mature presbyopes’ functional vision.

The study was conducted at four clinical sites with mature presbyopes aged 50 and over with an add requirement of more than or equal to +2.00D.

Results were presented at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas, US on January 18 and showed that the lens provided a full range of functional vision, providing better than 20/40 binocular vision through up to 3.00D optical vergence demand.

VTI said the contact lens enabled eye care professional to provide a solution to presbyopic patients who want to continue contact lens wear without sacrificing clarity or function visual range even as their visual needs increase with age.
