A local supermarket has dug deep for eye care charity Vision Care for Homeless People.
Waitrose in Hall Green, Birmingham, sent branch manager Peter Falcini to present a cheque for £840 to Jill Lambert, who was representing Vision Care for Homeless People's Digbeth centre in the city.
Suppliers including Birmingham Optical, Hoya Lenses, Bondeye Optical, Topcon and Essilor already also support the Allcock Street centre. The charity said 82 people had been helped to better vision since it opened six months ago. It urged new volunteers to email info@vchp.org.uk for more information.
