A new eye care delivery plan from the Welsh government has been designed to improve the eye health of children and adults in Wales and establish the country as a leader in eye health provision.
The plan, which the Welsh government believes is the first of its kind in the world, outlines key actions to improve eye health and provide targeted support for those most vulnerable to eye health issues and sight loss.
Opportunities for health boards and local governments are the focus of the plan, which highlights the chance to work with the ‘third sector’ and other partners to deliver services on a local level.
