High-achieving science student Emma Wade has been honoured during a special award ceremony sponsored by Sudbury-based opticians Wardale Williams

Sixteen-year-old Wade received a trophy, certificate and books as a prize for obtaining ‘outstanding’ A grades in her triple science GCSE examinations. Emma gained an A in biology, chemistry and physics. She is now studying all three subjects at A-Level. She was presented with the award by practice managers Amanda Skinner (left) and Emma Mobbs (right).

On the sponsorship, Skinner said: ‘As opticians, we very much work in a science-orientated profession, so sponsoring this award is a good fit for us. Congratulations to Emma.’
