The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers has announced the 2014 winner of its Master’s Medal which was launched last year.
Dr Lynne Watson (pictured) of Glasgow Caledonian University received the award for her paper entitled, ‘Imagine Jitter Enhances Visual Performance when Spatial Resolution is impaired.’
Watson won £750 and lunch at the Apothecaries Hall in London.
The Master’s Medal is awarded annually and bestows £750 on the winners to encourage research in optometry or physiological optics. Eligible entrants include academics holding a first degree, diploma or equivalent qualification obtained within the last three years.
