A woman in the US has been charged with murdering her husband by putting doses of eye drops into his water over the course of several days.

Lana Clayton confessed to investigators after an autopsy revealed high levels of the chemical tetrahydrozoline in the body of her husband Steven Clayton. The arrest warrant said she poisoned him over a three-day period, before he was found dead at the bottom of a flight of stairs.
