Wigston optometrist celebrates 25 years

Optometrist Kay Chotai spoke about developing long-term relationships with patients as she celebrated 25 years at Specsavers in Leicestershire.

Chotai started as a locum in Leicester in 1995, joined the practice full-time a year later and then became practice director in 1998 before transferring to Wigston in 2007.

Patient Sandra Fletcher followed Chotai when she switched practices and remembered when Chotai was pregnant with her first child, Ashni, who was now an optometrist at the same practice.

Chotai said: ‘I’ve got to know so many customers over the years and to still be seeing Mrs Fletcher after all this time is brilliant. It’s been such an amazing journey and I’m so proud to work for a company that values both staff and customers.’
