winnie's specs: A pair of glasses once worn by Sir Winston Churchill are to be auctioned on March 17. The circular tortoiseshell spectacles were worn by the prime minster in his post-war years and will be sold by auctioneers JP Humbert with a reserve price of £200-£300. The spectacles include a case and a compliment slip from the opticians which reads: 'These tortoiseshell spectacles were made in 1954 for the Right Honourable Sir Winston Leonard Churchill.'
