South Tyrol eyewear manufacturer WooDone has added six new styles to its wooden frame portfolio along with a new iridescent finish

South Tyrol eyewear manufacturer WooDone has added six new styles to its wooden frame portfolio.

The men’s Lugus ophthalmic frame has a modified Wayfarer silhouette with heavy-set lugs and has been finished in the firm’s new wood offering, a locally harvested dark ash. The women’s Davina style (2), also in dark ash, has a square silhouette with dropped nose bridge.

The company said frames in the collection had been engineered for best fit and comfort, with special attention paid to nose pad design and rounded bridges. They also feature the recently developed bonding adhesive said to allow for increased adjustability.

Alongside the new frames, the company has also introduced a new lacquer, Flip-Flop. The new finish was said to enhance the natural tones of the wood while still offering an iridescent effect with green, yellow and purple hues catching the light.
