Advocating sex on the consulting room floor

Chris Bennett

It was probably an idea nicked from the UK to name  a newspaper The Advocate. It sounds very truthful grand etc etc.

My trawl of the internet this morning threw up two stories from the Advocate. The first concerned an optician who started a relationship with a patient which included some  consulting room carpet-based hanky panky . He was struck off when he ended the relationship to save his marriage and his paramour reported him to the authorities.

The second story, also from the advocate, was about a business award for an optician. This chap was an outstanding and upstanding member of the community. At this point I was intrigued. Could this be one of those occassions where an award is presented to someone who has been sumultaneously caught out in a totally unrelated event?
