We've had a bit of a theme running through Optician of late following our round table discussion on contact lenses and the internet.
Therein lays a story. We were supposed to conduct a sponsored round table discussion with an internet retailer. The retailer suggested it wanted to get closer to practices and was unhappy about contact lenses being sold without proper clinical care. All good stuff.
When it came to it though ( see this Friday's Optician) the sponsor wasn't happy with the panel members and topics the Optician editorial team thought would provide a decent debate.
Optician gave the sponsor its money back and carried on with the round table regardless. The discussion that eventually took place was excellent and has featured in last week, and will feature in this week's issue.
