Bold choices for all ages

Simon Jones

Ten new styles have been added by Brulimar to its Bench Kids range. Aimed at the five- to 14-year-old market, frames in the Bench Kids collection are designed to emulate popular styles in the adult eyewear market and are adapted to fit comfortably on smaller faces.

There are touches of vibrant colour, as can be seen with model BCK-30 (top). This is a high-grade nickel silver frame in purple, black or brown, with multicoloured laminated acetate flexi sides.

Brulimar has also launched six new unisex styles for the Bench adult collection which it reports reflects an increasing cross-over in male and female eyewear fashion.

Exemplifying this trend is model 109 (bottom) which has a lightweight stainless steel frame with distinctive wide striped temples featuring a short ear tip in shades of gunmetal, dark brown, matt black and purple.

‘Modern women are far more likely to make bold choices in their eyewear and we’ve found more and more of our most typically masculine frames are being picked out by stylish female wearers,’ said Howard Librae, managing director of Brulimar.
