Forgive me for getting into the festive spirit a little early this year but I have been moved to mention Christmas after attending a carol service which brought home to me just what sight means to people.
This year Optician struck up a relationship with Blind Veterans UK, an organisation that seeks to help those visually impaired people who, at one time or another, have served in the armed forces. BVUK held a carol service at St Marylebone Church near Baker Street, London and what a wonderful evening it was. A brass band, a boy chorister, mezzo soprano and a church choir echoed along to a magnificent church organ through the Georgian building.
