Innovation is something I’m often found banging on about in this column so it’s fitting that, as those interested in finding out about the new head off to Optrafair, a potentially game changing product has emerged in the contact lens sector.

Contact lenses are a rich seam of innovation: higher levels of oxygen transmissibility, softer feel and edge designs are constantly benefiting from refinement to the point where many contacts are barely perceptible on the eye. The latest innovation is the photochromic contact lens which blends Transitions’ light changing technology with J&J’s contact lens know-how.
