General Optical Council research highlights the need to educate the public on the role of optometry and dispensing
Hats off to the General Optical Council for surveying the general public about the optical profession, sadly the findings are frustratingly predictable.
Optician is a big fan of research and in optometry and retail optics the most important research is that carried out among the general public. Over the years much research has been done in this area and the GOC’s latest survey confirmed some things optics has known for some time.
People know they should visit their opticians (sic) regularly and they are satisfied and confident with the service they get there.
