The purpose of the College’s Clinical Practice Survey to which your reader refers is to gain a snapshot of current optometric practice. The survey questions were designed by an optometrist approved by the College’s Membership and Standards Committee structure and were intended to cover the range of current practice.

The survey repeated many of the same questions that were asked in 2001 – the last time the College conducted a survey of this nature – allowing the College to track any changes in practice over these years. None of the questions was intended to insult any member completing the survey.
