So what can optics do to avoid a possible recessionary chill? For optical practices, of course, the answer is always right in front of your eyes. But the problem is that customers only see the shiny metals and laminated plastics of the frame. It is time to really get them into quality lenses. As Safilo's Marco Patalano put it so simply this week a nice pair of Gucci sunglasses deserves quality ophthalmic lenses and this was a definite trend at Silmo.
