On reading the article about the progress of CET (December 1), I was amazed, yet again, that members of an august body such as the GOC are so innocent in matters of real life.
Their surprise that many practitioners appear only to be interested in obtaining the minimum number of CET points required, and no more, is mildly endearing. One reason for some practitioners treating 36 points as a target rather than a minimum requirement is human nature, as many of us work full time, have homes to run and a life outside of work, but the CET scheme is also seen by some as unfair and patronising.
