Goodbye to 'big-eye'?

It seems there has been a swift response to the bacterial outbreak caused by big-eye contact lenses in Bangkok, as mentioned in my last blog post. Police have raided shops selling the product in a mall, arresting two vendors and confiscating 10,000 pairs of the lenses. The vendors were arrested for importing the lenses, popular among teenagers, without licence. The cosmetic lenses enhance the size of the wearer's iris and there are reports of them being worn for years at a time. http://tinyurl.com/5rfjbqh
