I had the pleasure of attending the Sight Care Conference in Birmingham on Monday. Apart from the early start, alarm at 0530, a good day it was too.
The finniest reaction of the day to come from the audience was to convenience store association chief James Lowman. He introduced his, very interesting, talk by admitting he didn't know anything about opticians. And why should he, he didn't deal with opticians and never visited one. He then went on to endorse this by saying that he never went to the optician becuase he didn't need to as he didn't wear glasses--DOH.
Cue discontented murmurings from the crowd .
