How galling it is to walk through any market, go into any cheapo store or even ( perish the thought) log on to the internet only to find vitual copies of branded frames on sale for peanuts.
Well this is how it can happen in fashion.......High street retailer Topshop has destroyed hundreds of little yellow dresses ( retail £35) following a claim by fashion house Chloe that it was a copy of its £185 original.
Apparently the whole issue of proving a copy has been made is now easier thanks to some changes in the European legislation. This states that a single feature is enough to make a product a copy. Fashion house Chloe is taking a hard line and pursuing what it believes to be copies hard.
