Independent opticians get the love

I have been on the road, so to speak, quite a bit lately and some really strong themes have emerged around the future well being of the independent sector. It's natural to expect supplier companies to be keen on the health of the independent sector but everyone seems to be getting in on the act.

At a recent lunch I was sat next to a, very successful, independent who was considering giving up his time to speak to students at colleges and university's about setting up in business and running their own practice. He had some harsh things to say about the quality of business training provided to students and mentioned a couple of other companies who had been drawing up plans to help indies.
