Letter: Beware of Essilor empire

The news that Essilor has taken over a major online optical supplier could cause concern.

In fact Essilor is now in direct competition with hundreds of its loyal and established customers.

It can also be noted that Essilor owns many prescription houses in the UK, so I suggest a warning note should not be amiss.

Independents should be made aware.
