Meeting of minds on two occasions
My inability to see a contact lens deposit with the naked eye at 33cm and the fact that my barber now discreetly shaves hair off my earlobes are both indications of advancing years.
However, the definitive blow has been struck. While reading the letters page, I have been in agreement with David Levy on two separate and consecutive occasions! This has never happened before, and is convincing proof that my days in optics may be having a mind-altering effect on me.
Keep writing David, as the letters page wouldn’t be the same without you!

No trouble with 'height'
I was somewhat disappointed with the criticism made by Glynn Walsh (Letters, June 30) re using the term ‘height’ for fitting progressive lenses in the CET article of June 9 written by Caroline O’Higgins.
We as opticians know exactly what Ms O’Higgins was referring to in her terminology and I would like to thank her for giving up her time to produce an article for the benefit of other CET users.
My challenge to Mr Walsh would be to produce a word-perfect CET article that we could all understand!
