Letters: Masters of our fate

I would like to thank Moneo for highlighting (Optician 13.09.19) the recent article published in Acuity journal, titled Smart moves. I can reassure Optician readers that the College of Optometrists is absolutely committed to ensuring the profession is prepared for this period of change and we encourage all practitioners to read the whole Acuity article on the potential impact of online sight tests. If we want the profession to evolve in a way that is safe and effective and, in a patient’s, best interests, we must remain committed to a scientific and evidence-led approach to help people see better and reduce preventable blindness, with optometry at its heart.
