As a great supporter of the generic promotion of eye care and in the past a critic of the inability of the profession and industry to get its act together, I was intrigued to see a column in Optician asking for sponsors for National Eye Health Week 2011. I was rather surprised I didn't know too much about it, especially as it is to be held in a few weeks, from June 13-19. A quick Google and there was the website. Soft colours and small text, just the thing for the potential audience of people with low vision who would find it useful and informative, although you do have the option of increasing the contrast but not the font!
