Pinfeels so good

I readily accept that I am spolit when it comes to fab eyewear. I spend a lot of my time looking at, talking about and writing about eyewear and I get to try a lot of different eyewear out. Every now and again a piece comes along that really blows you away and I have to admit that with the new generation ( the phrase du jour) of Pinfeel does just that.

Readers of Optician will have heard about the collaboration between the originator of Pinfeel, Hoya, the rimless glazing specialist Riviera Rimless and Casesco. This grouping of a lens compnay, glazer and frame designer/distributor is a unique tie up which is really exciting.

A pair of Pinfeel glazed to my prescription arrived this morning and the finished product lives up to the trio's excitment about the project.  It brings a new dimension to minimalist and the unique side entry of the mounts, though small, makes a surprising difference.

 I will chart its progress with interest.
