Practise what you preach

Rory Brogan

After a longer than recommended absence from an optometry consulting room, this week (January 12) I will be having an eye exam and contact lens check up. I'm off to LK Leon Opticians in London's New Cavendish Street all as part of trying out some HD contact lenses from Bausch+Lomb. You can see more about them here: http://www.bausch.co.uk/en_UK/consumer/visioncare/product/softcontacts/purevision2-HD.aspx Presuming I'm given the all clear and fitted with the lenses, I will be interested to see if I can notice any visual improvement on my existing contact lenses. It could well be that my prescription has changed ever so slightly, so I will have to factor that in. The manufacturer claims that the PureVision 2 HD lenses reduce halos and glare, giving crisp, clear vision. Given that, it could well be in the evenings that they really come into their own. Maybe PureVision 2 HD could be the contact lenses that encourage me to take up driving again in London? They would have to be good.
