I refer to Moneo’s article in your Opinion column of February 12 2016 which commented on my New Year message to LOCs.
In contrast to Moneo who hides behind a pseudonym, Locsu is very transparent – publishing strategy, business plans, detailed accounts and consulting with LOCs on our plans.
If Moneo does not know ‘exactly what they are’ in respect of Locsu’s overheads, they can be found in the copies of Locsu’s annual reports on our website, www.locsu.co.uk
Moneo suggests that I don’t see a function ‘for optometry in primary care itself’. This is a bizarre inference when my message was entirely focused on the sector coming together to ensure that optical community services are commissioned and are in place.
