Simon Jones: Best of the best

Well, that’s the Optician Awards done and dusted for another year. Or at least until the summer when the cogs of the machine start turning once more.  

In the bar after, one of the winners told me they were indebted to the Optician Awards for their victory. I immediately put them straight: ‘No, the Optician Awards is indebted to people like you, that innovate and push boundaries in the name of improving the lives of others.’ After some back and forth, we agreed that both were indebted to one another, but I can now exclusively reveal that I had my fingers crossed behind my back.
