Simulacrum of leather in latest Theo collab

Simon Jones

Theo Eyewear has collaborated with fashion designer Tim van Steenbergen for a new line of leather-inspired sunglasses. The collection is made from acetate and then processed to give a distinctive leather look. Just 150 pairs of each model will be available.

The range comprises three unisex styles. The Jaime model (above) is available in black and red or black and white. The top black half gets the leather look treatment, while the bottom half is finished in plain acetate. The Consuleo frame has a distinct 80s feel, both in terms of shape and bold white colour. Isidro (below) is a twist on the classic aviator silhouette, with more angular styling than traditional pilot shapes. The model is finished entirely in black and features thick temples and a keyhole bridge.
