Temple twists from ProDesign

Simon Jones

A total of eight new optical frames have been added by ProDesign Denmark to its existing collections, Essential, 4th Dimension, Iris and For ProDesign.

Essential 1222-27 (pictured) is suitable for children or adults with smaller face shapes. Each unisex frame comes with brightly coloured interchangeable rubber temples, enabling the wearer to change the colour of the frames. The model is available in six shapes, two sizes and three to four temple colour options. Additional temple colours can be purchased separately.

4th Dimension 4364-66 is described as having ‘a sporty, intelligent edge’ with a masculine shape and detailing on the sides. The silicone temples wrap around the titanium front with a contrasting coloured crosshatch design. There are three different shapes and eight colours per frame.

Inspired by patterns in nature, Iris 5121-24 has delicate detailing on the sides, emulating trees or birds’ nests. The cutout temples and subtle colour combinations are designed to enhance the wearer’s eyes in ProDesign’s newest eyewear range.

Like the rest of the For ProDesign collection, model 9908-12 was designed by American-born Danish jeweller Gail Spence. The transparent matt temples are interchangeable, connecting with the frame through coloured cylinder hinges. Each frame has up to 28 different colour combinations and is available in five shapes, with six colours per shape.
